located on tenth avenue, marquee is the best club around for parties and dancing. the only people with vip are either famous or filthy rich (or if you've got a good connection), but hey, that's expected. all of the club staff are attractive, the drinks are great, and the music varies from all sorts of genres like rock to hip hop, which is why marquee is considered one of the trendiest clubs in new york.

it's one of the classiest, topless strip clubs in the city (if a strip club could even be considered classy) that won't drain your wallet. with three different areas -- the dance floor, the bar, and the VIP room -- privilege offers 40 to 60 different girls a night that are both 'friendly' and pleasing to the eye. i suppose classy defines the fact that they even have a masseuse, sell cigars, and have fine liquor available at the bar. the cover is just twenty bucks, but if you're there at a good time, the drinks are 2 for 1.

white star is a cool, chic place, a rather lower-brow bar (at least in comparison to the other ventures owned by sasha petraske). still, don’t judge this slim, wood-clad joint by its size, but by the quality of the signature cocktails and the famous house absinthe -- both of which attract the crowd that is not afraid to spend significant chunks of their precious paychecks while swarming around the marble-top bar. speaking of absinthe, even if it's gross, it's one of the reasons why college students frequent this place.

sometimes just dubbed 'the cafe' and located on the lower east side of manhattan, cafe khufu is a hookah bar with a great atmosphere. with many different flavors of tobacco to smoke, it's also got great food and entertainment while you unwind. come with a group, it's always best -- this place has got a club-lounge ambiance, and the hookah service is cheaper than most places for the great quality. not to mention the service is pretty good -- coal changes ever 10 minutes for free is a good deal.

dubbed 'the original gay bar in hell's kitchen,' posh bar is located in a good spot of the bar circuit. the lounge carefully balances its trendy touches, swanky modern lighting, black leather couches, pulsating DJ with laid-back comfort including friendly bartenders, affordable drinks, enclosed sidewalk tables where you can people-watch and smoke simultaneously and the sleek, brushed metal bar contributes to the low-key sexy vibe. open from 4 pm to 4 am, you have to be over 18 to enter, and to drink obviously you have to be over 21 and have ID.
